Get Together with College Best Buddies

It's been a long time since I met my college best friends, Mimi and Janice. Mimi's currently working in another call center while Janice's working in Dubai and she just came for a short vaca. So last January 13, together with Malen (my best friend whose also working in the same company, department as I am...aren't we lucky?) we met them at Trinoma and had a full blast evening.

We started the evening with videoke session at Redbox. It's good because they have this promo for P99 per head for a 2-hour video session. We were there singing, laughing, dancing (yes! dancing!), laughing, eating (light meal), laughing, picture taking, laughing, late christmas exchange gift, laughing...from 6 to 8 pm. It was a very fun bonding! We even made a video of ourselves singing the hit song of Lady Gaga, Bad Romance. You can see us trying to copy the dance stepss of the dancers from the MTV. I, we laughed so hard. So you can imagine how tired we were after that. :)

Now after getting tired "videoke-ing", we strolled to check for a Korean restaurant because I've been dying to get my hands on their famous Ja Jang Myun ( a Korean noodle) since I've seen numerous scenes in my tons of favorite Top Korean Dramas eating that. Unfortunately, we weren't able to find one so we just ate to another oriental restaurant, a Japanese restaurant called Sumo Sam. We ordered their boodle meal, which is good for four called, "The Fight". We ordered the one called, "The Arena" which was served w/ gyoza, beef yakitori, oyster teppan, mixed tempura, chicken, tuna sashimi, salmon sashimi, yusaitame and Japanese fried rice which is good for P1,288. I love the oyster teppan! I was careful though because of my bad cholestorel. ^_^. I wish I had ordered their California Maki but I guess, I'll just come back and try it next time. The food and the ambience was so oriental. The waiters were friendly and the place was clean. It was a nice place to bring your friends and I will definitely do that again. :)

Though we have to part ways again, I'm sure that all of us will meet again some other time. It may not be in the Philippines but sure we will.... It's really nice to see my college friends who have known me when I was still younger, immature, sillier and a lot thinner.... :)

personalized calendar for 2011

I'm not going to make new year resolutions this year, but for sure I will make plans!

To help me with that, I created this customized 2011 calendar with the picture of my family and the week dates that I need for work. It's a nice piece to have in my workstation. I suddenly missed my brother (who's currently in Japan) while doing this. So all you need to do is print this and viola! Personalized calendar for the new year! You don't even have to pay much for this! Just a little bit of creativeness and a little bit of knowledge in Power Point and Paint!

I also included the template, in case you want to download and create your own calendar. Enjoy making one and show your creative ness! Leave a comment if you need the bigger size and I'll email it to you! ^_^

Friends with Angels and Demons

It’s been six weeks since I last saw Aimz. It was when we landed back here in the Philippines from our long trip in Hong Kong. Yup! Six weeks! So imagine all the gossips and chikas that piled up! Whew!

Last May 29, we went to Trinoma and watched Angels and Demons (my second time watching) starring Tom Hanks (to read about my movie reaction, click HERE). By the way, thanks to Malensky for her late birthday treat, for the movie and for that double cheeseburger from McDo. Thanks Len! Mwha! Love it!

So, the movie started at 4pm and ended 20 minutes after 6. And, since it’s a grand sale of the mall, we tried to stroll along the sale items. I purchased a dry bag. YUP! I got a dry bag for our Caramoan trip in July. I also got three new blouses from Mint at 50% off! Cheap prices! Really! After that we went ahead and had our dinner, then our desert and then shopping again. :)

Here's the three of us eating at World Chicken (Trinoma Branch)

Malen and Aimz

Aimz and moiah!

The food - aside from the quarter pounder chicken, you have to select two side dishes, I had potato salad and fettuccini.

For deserts, we had Crazy Crepes

It was a little late when we decided to go home (considering that we have to work early the next day). But before we reached the exit, Aimz told us about this great stall nearby where they have an everyday sale of brand new and second hand books. WOW! I got my Mitch Albom's Five People You'll Meet in Heaven and For One More Day, and it's only P350 and P300 respectively. WOW! It's a real great price! I only need one book to complete my Mitch Albom's. So does this mean that I'm collecting his novels? We'll see...

Thanks again Lizzie for the CDs of our pictures from Hong Kong and Aimz for bringing it! :) Mwha!

Can't wait for our next movie date, we have lined up several: The Proposal, Up, Terminator Salvation, Transformers, and Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince!

Stackers for the First Time

Last May 28, Claire and Rica treated us in Stackers, the new American burger food stop in Eastwood City. Why? Because Claire got promoted and Rica was now confirmed as the new QA specialist.

So the food! The food! Burgers in Stackers are all in 'American Size'. It was tasteful, very nice. The burgers are awesome but not the fries. The servings are big so I was full for the whole day for just one burger so imagine that! hahaha!

It's so nice to spend some time with my QA friends whom I have not seen for quite some time.

Trying to pose for a pic! While we're on our way to Stackers.

Another one, feeling model!

Kewol, with the menu from the Stackers!

Me, trying to read the menu...so many burgers to choose from!

Daisy, trying to order...so confused?

Of course, I need to be included noh!

Family Day, Fun Day 2009

Thanks to my QA Family I was able to bring my family in our yearly Family Day, Fun Day. This year it was held at Boso Boso Highlands Resort in Antipolo Rizal last April 17. It was a fun filled day and for sure everyone enjoyed the activities that was prepared for all of us. My niece and my sister specially enjoyed the swimming part coz they stayed in the pool for nearly four hours.

I personally enjoyed the Amazing Race (because our department won it! LOL) and the Pyromusical with Parokya ni Edgar which ended the program. Check out our pictures and video!
